Is it just me, or has Shirow-sensei got that mathematical symbol pointing the wrong way? Obvious what it’s meant to be, given the recent years of his art, but it reads like ‘for less than or equal to 18s’.
Yeah, he definitely got the two signs mixed up. Supposed to be > if he's trying say 18+ only. Of course, he could have just wrote 18+ like most people do...
It looks like he's saying "18 ≤ age" which doesn't look like a problem to me. The artists that write 18+ and then put it in a "prohibited" symbol are the ones doing it wrong.
But it's missing the age part though. I guess it's really supposed to be implied but it's really not something you see often and math isn't really my best subject so...
For 18+ : For (people whose age is) 18 and more For >=18 : For (person whose age is) greater or equal to 18 For 18<= : For (people who have the number) 18 less or equal to (their age)
They are all equivalent, the last one simply has a more awkward formulation in English.
