Grate Guard? Uhhhh...I know the Bkub effect is in these comics but are you sure it isn't great guard? I mean, I don't speak moon or anything but I don't get the "grate" part, unless it's some other different meaning in the dictionary I'm too lazy to look up.

The moonrunes themselves are just 'Gate/Door Guard' (monban) + informal declarative (mon). The joke is based on the repetition of the sound /mon/, plus it sounds a bit cheesy. A 'grate', if used as a noun, is a singular form of a 'grating', which is a lattice- or bar-work structure, usually used to in doorways/windows to block off areas. So, in order to make it both have the similar sound and also the cheesyness, I went with 'grate' - the homophone with 'great' provides a modicum of cheese. It's not the most wonderful interpretation, but I'm kinda new at this whole translation dealie.
But maybe they don't use the word 'grate' that way wherever you are? I'm not from the US, so I don't know the customary usage over there (If that's where you are).
Since any video that contains the reference for the joke is going to be copyrighted and subject to being taken down at any time I'm going to directly say it's a reference to a Gaki no Tsukai joke where Endo Shozo dresses up as a fake pro wrestler called Dynamite Shikoku.
