What's the point of thighhighs that are that high over regular pantyhose?
Hah...
This style of pantyhose is actually one of the most common.
The darker shade is the thicker material that holds the clothing in place (like thighband), I thought that you in particular, would've seen these more than any other styles, clearly not.
Adding Pantyhose tag, removing thigh-highs. More than happy to debate with any of you.

Removing the pantyhose tag, re adding the thighhighs tag since in this image it is very clear that the clothing is not covering her panties, nor her waist.

Alright, you've seem to have gotten into this mindset that if tights or pantyhose are not pulled over the underwear (panties) or is shown on the front-view that it is in-line with the waist, then it must be thigh-highs, or at least not pantyhose.
It is possible for tights or pantyhose to be worn slightly lower than what you expect them to be worn at, just below the waist, however, it is NOT possible for thigh-highs to be worn covering any curvature of the buttocks assuming the thigh-high is made with the standard circumference.
The shading further illustrates my point; the darker more elastic material that makes a slight curve is to hold the pantyhose in place. These are neither panties + thigh-highs or a darker trim to thigh-highs, they're found in a large number of pantyhose-like products.
But go ahead, keep the thigh-highs tag it's pretty clear that you can't tell the difference anymore. Here's some newly released posts (in the last day or so, IDK I wasn't on last night) that show the darker material, feel free to remove pantyhose from these posts and add thigh-highs and something else stupid, maybe bike shorts?

EDIT: WOW, I've just noticed that there is actually a sudden curvature at the bottom of the spine. OK, wow, I thought her panties were the background (same colour)... The picture now doesn't make sense, I don't know if I should argue that the man in-charge of colouring has just forgotten to colour as Zoidiect said they were pantyhose, or at least were meant to be... Well there goes one from my favourites.
@K8E Here is a rundown of this image and the legwear she is currently wearing . I take solace in the fact that I try to tag legwear as accurately as possible, something you wont find so easily from others on the internet (I've been burned quite a few times by websites that tagged media as Pantyhose, but it turned out to be stockings).
The alternate_legwear tag was created to let others know that an image has had artistic liberties taken with it, and had legwear that is not what the character officials wears.
