I remenber this series. Two years ago people where discussing about drsunshine and lunarisaileron as "questionable quality" artists. And i would gladly agree, but, to me, the general content in their comics makes more than worth it. And IMO it's a slighly more than "ok" piece of "art". Sometimes we should evaluate art in it's context.
Man, after that little incident a few days ago, i still think maybe we should make different standart rules for comics in general. Rulees are important, but we can be more polite and respectful about someone else's work.

While I'm fine with (and have advocated for) a difference in standards for comics compared to works that are standalone works of art. (I enjoy Tonda's works, for one, which is hardly above scribbles at times, and Warugaki/Sk-ii has a tendency to switch art styles rapidly enough that there's likely to be some images that don't stand on their own, but people generally appreciate their work.)
However, if you argue that the quality as a comic justifies low-quality art, that still raises the question of whether or not it has quality as a comic. That has a tendency of being even more subjective than pure art quality does. People can at least agree on whether a flat-colored filled scribble-lined artwork is not technically demanding or whether there are visible .jpg artifacts, but I remember Rifyu's Madoka works were rather controversial as to whether they were funny/worth it.
Drsunshine, in particular, just isn't funny, IMHO, and has no real value as a drama, so I always found his work deliberate character misinterpretations without merit.
If we go by pure artistic value, then koyama_shigeru's mamange series is HORRIBLE. However, he has shown that he can draw normal drawings as well. Mamange is pretty much allowed to stay because people like it. But just as stated by Rifyu's usual comics, the art quality(putting aside read quality) is very questionable as to whether they should stay on Danbooru or not. Rifyu also tends to incorporate toilet humor as well which is usually seen as "low brow" humor.
Mostly when it comes to lunarisaileron, there has probably got to be bias againsts non japanese and western artists.
Before the white knights start coming at me, I'm not saying Shigeru is a bad artist, I am just based only on artistic value, then his mamange series honestly shouldn't be here on Danbooru at all. However, over the years, art is allowed stay here based on both art quality or the contents of the art in question such as comics and dialogue.
