A french plane?
The planes on the right side have iron crosses and look like BF109s, but I'm not sure about that "allied" plane.
Then again my aerial warfare knowledge is pretty bad. :/

You are correct. The RAF has the blue on the outside and red pn the center.

Looks like they're taking heavy fire. Unsure what to make out of Tatsuta's expression. Is it pain or just overwhelmed?
