This is actually what Kanako originally wanted to do in Mountain of Faith (she wanted their shrine and the Hakurei Shrine to basically become sister shrines). Unfortunately (for the Moriya Shrine gang), Sanae somehow misunderstood her and basically ended up challenging Reimu to come kick their asses (which she proceeded to do).
