Not sure, but I think she's suffering from the incoming radio signal sounds...The "gi gi gi" sounds around her antenna seems like it to me...

I thought she was trying to pry off the headgear and it was hurting because it's firmly attached to her head.

Seems to me her sister is (Mutsu)beaming bad thoughts into her head.

For those that don't get it, Sun Wukong, because he was so wild, was tricked into putting on a magical headband that could never be removed. Everytime Xuanzang--the pilgrim he was traveling with and protecting--recites an incantation, the headband shrinks and causes unbearable pain and headaches.

Its a reference to Journey to the West. Wukong had a headband that would shrink and cause incredible pain each time an incantation was recited, in order to control him.
