Bumping for someone to fully translate this. I'm always interested about the development of the Fubuki-class

Most that are left are about the air intake design. Type-1 has a hooked design (キセル型?) while models from Uranami onwards have cup(?) design air intake.

Any idea what the correct term in English ?

Interesting, but translators don't have to point out every loanword (or the vast majority of notes here would have TL notes).

Ⅱ means they are the second generation There are other ships who already held that name. The first Fubuki is a Harusame class destroyer (1905).
The main guns of the Mutsuki-class don't have shields on their backs and are thus prone to accidents when firing crews traversed the turret.
    Elevation: +33° to -5°
    Maximum range: 15,200 m
The Special Types got enclosed turrets! The maximum range increased to 18,200 m!
Main differences of the Special Types (after construction)
Of course, there are other, smaller differences.
The air intakes to the boilers were changed from pipe-shaped to bowl-shaped.
After the Tomozuru Incident and the Fourth Fleet Incident, Type Ⅱ and Type Ⅲ received further modification from autumn of Showa 10 (1935) to spring of Showa 11 (1936). They were equipped with Type-B 12.7cm twin guns with elevation ranging from +75° to -7° (there's also theories that it was Type-C).
Armoured torpedo launchers were equipped on models following Type Ⅲ. Other models were retrofitted.
Because of improvement in boiler’s fuel efficiency and output, the four boilers in Type Ⅱ was reduced to three boilers and the first funnel was narrowed.
    Fubuki Shirayuki Hatsuyuki Miyuki
    Isonami Uranami Ayanami Shikinami
    Asagiri Yuugiri Amagiri Sagiri
    Oboro Akebono Sazanami Ushio
    Akatsuki Hibiki Ikazuchi Inazuma
It's a lot more interesting to look at pictures when you grasp the differences between them!
Eh... our riggings have pipe-shaped air intakes.
But our Kai Ni riggings are in the bowl-shape category!
It was also possible to add an air intake to the engine room between the second and third torpedo launch tubes!!

    Type I-Kai and above
