I think they fog up in the heat and humidity. And if they're made of metal then they'll also get uncomfortably hot too. I personally always took mine off because I was always gonna hit the shower right after getting out so they were gonna be in the way of that too.

Not to mention there are people so incredibly blind that they can't even make out smudges (for instance, different soap bottles) at arm's length without their glasses. I dated one through high school.
