On the contrary, trying to impress people with random chalkboard scribbles isn't always a mark of intelligence. We took up optics and electromagnetics last year and this shit doesn't even mention Maxwell's equations.
Looks good. They should just make an anime following the plot of one of the games instead of trying to incorporate as many characters as possible. Sound holic and co. failed this miserably.

Well, about the plot, I was almost thinking the same thing... if they're gonna make separated seasons, each one should follow the plot of a single game. I really hope so! But for the rest... all we can do is wait. Then we can talk about failure or not.

I think they have almost the same quality, which is actually not bad. Maybe the final result will be even better...

Backgrounds are consistently good, but the character design and animation in the second one, especially for the first few characters (like Reimu) is noticeably worse.

I must admit I've noticed it too but... the real weird thing is, why Reimu's hair are brown?

Are we looking at the same videos? The old one was barely animated: it was mostly layers sliding around and very clumsy expression changes. When they tried to make the characters actually move, all they had was a handful of disconnected frames, with a bunch of digital effects and quick position shifts thrown in to obscure the lack of actual animation.
The new video is a vast, vast improvement on that front. It's true that the character design was simplified, but it's also more consistent than before; and in exchange for the simpler style, there is much more movement, and it's more fluid. Overall, it's a marked visual improvement.
I'm surprised you mention Reimu specifically, too: she had it much worse in the old video, with her face going from weird (~00:49) to weirder (~01:38).

It's true that it has much more actual animation, but the character design took a huge hit, and the increased framerate makes it all the easier to notice. Especially Reimu, Patchouli and Marisa all got stupid eyes that don't fit with the rest of the face and move strangely as they are animated. I think Aya is the only one to be animated well for the entirety of her sequence.
I find it funny that most of the comments have nothing to do with the post. I'm willing to bet Nextos meant the style of character. It's very common to see that said if you're reading forums and whatnot.
Anyway, I'm totally putting this on a shirt because I already have the IaMP one. "Laser is not difficult."
ψ(g) doesn't equal g given that g is related to the derivative of n functions where by the unity matrix is used to indicate the parabolic relationship of the existence of multidimensionality based upon the increasing complexity of the system as one goes toward ε based S!

Silly ice fairy
If you look above and slightly to the left of LASER she also states that 1111 = 1. Just saying.
