At least Miho got a ride on Kaga. Unfortunately, they're not training... but going to fight Abyssals with live shells and a very real chance of getting sunk. And I don't think senshado grade tank armor is rated to stop even I-class weapons, much less Ru-class battleship guns. Also, it's good to see Haruna again.

Except they weren't battling Hoppo - she was only on a walk. Here, they're going into real combat against the Abyssal fleet, and I don't expect anyone to rescue their tank once it falls off Kaga for the length of the battle. Not that there's submarines present to do the rescue.

Assuming the cannon shell doesn't just turn the tank into objet d'art.

Incidentally, shouldn't the translation note use sensha-do or Tankery, given the former is what it's actually said and the latter is the official translation in the manga and anime? Tankwando is just...awkward.

12 Ships live combat... OK, this ain't no regular map, that's for sure.

I've yet to hear any Abyssal fleet using Combined Fleet mechanics, though.

No Wo-class carriers or Ru-class battleships though. Maybe it's not THAT serious a fight. Still more firepower than a Panzer IV can handle, though.

I still hope they left their driver and gunner behind, given Miho wasn't planning on shooting the enemy ships in training.
