I think not even. It's just made to show that Eriri actually draws.

Kuroya Shinobu is the actual illustrator for Eri's drawings. She has an "illustration cooperation" credit in the ending credits of the anime for episodes where they appear.

This begs the question as to why Eri was so surprised that someone knew who she was early in the anime when she puts her NAME right next to the pen name.
