Hell, they're legos. This isn't appropriate for Danbooru even if it is Kantai Collection.

They're still art. I may not care for many forms and artists of modern art, but it's all valid to them.

If that were true, then there should be a lot of images from up to nearly a decade ago that should be deleted.

Maybe they should be deleted then.

If you think they should be deleted, then you should flag them for deletion; old pictures (especially the ones you said are uploaded decades ago) should not be used as a standard for upload quality. Personally, I love legos and these are adorable, but I also think that these images don't really fit the purpose of Danbooru. I would rethink when uploading them.

You may notice a number of comparatively low quality art in Danbooru's permanent collection. While current upload standards would preclude similar images being uploaded today, we have neither the manpower nor a compelling reason to re-review many tens of thousands of historical images in bulk. Older images are not immune to re-consideration in the moderation queue (that is, there is no official "grandfather clause" anymore), but there will be no large-scale purge of the backlog either.
