    That's a story from before I knew Sanae-san. I went there with the Marisa person!

    Today, I'm taking part in ToSanBo Final, being held at the MIT* in Hamamatsu-chō. It isn't about Touhou; it's a con for ￥ｅ, which I got attached to long ago. Those of you who are interested, by all means, come by! *Metropolitan Industrial Trade Center, or Toritsu Sangyō Bōeki, abbreviated to ToSanBo.

    I think this is quite common if you go on tour in Asia, usually the operator is affiliated/got commission from the shop.

    ESPECIALLY China. In fact, recently there is a video of a tour guide lecturing the tourists for NOT BUYING any souvenir at the stops.

    Oh and for the poll, sweets of course! Well, if the T-shirts are really unique I might buy it.

    It's common in much of the Caribbean as well, though my favorite has to be the time the tour operator drove us by vacant lots and proceeded to tell us how cheap they were currently because of governmental incentives to attract people from out of the country.
