And yet the events always end up on farm status, don't they? How do you force longer player involvement in the same limited content unless you make it as grueling as possible for those who don't pay?
I actually liked the Combined Fleet mechanic. It looks cool.
Combined fleet is just another way they can make us suffer. The bad out weighs the good.
You use twice or even 3 times the resources, your accuracy is sent to hell, you have to put destroyers and other weaker ships in which means there a much more chance of having to retreat, for ship locking you're limited to even more ships, only certain ships are allowed and you lose a fleet for expedition.
It looks cool yeah but it really is another sadistic plot from the devs to make us suffer. I wouldn't be surprise if they jerk off to all the tears and pain of their players as they watch us breakdown from the events.

There was only one Battleship Symbiotic Hime in that Event, on a Night Battle Node. Even id she does a Cut-in, she can barely do anything event to a single Destroyer.
Oh ? There was the big sister Water Oni at the Boss Node ? Even on Hard Mode, it was easy to defeat her (Just having a CV Hime to protect her is far easier than having 2 Battleship Symbiotic Hime).
Re-class herself isn't an agressive battle-maniac, it's the fact there are several on all the 5-5 Map. Bur really she need to appear in a Event (And yes Devs, bring us a stronger version, like Flagship Elite Mk2 Last Model). That Event was even easier than the Fall Event 2014. AL/MI return for Summer * Smile * ?

That's probably why they made Re-chan in the first place. A battleship with bigger secondary guns than many other battleships' main guns, more and better aircraft than nearly all carriers and even some Airfield-type boss enemies, KTKM-tier torpeedus [sic] power, and a name whose pronunciation is suspiciously similar to that of the English phrase "Wreck You."
And she still has Flagship and Flagship Kai upgrades to get. I expect her to get 18-Inch (457.2mm) and 20-Inch (508mm) triple cannons with those upgrades because fuck your hopes and dreams, and because those are as close to the sizes of the Yamato-class default and upgraded artillery as you can get in the standard system. In addition to the inevitable upgrades to her secondaries, aircraft and torpeedus -- because, once again, fuck your hopes and dreams.
Oh, and she's a mook, which means it's entirely possible to face more than one of her in a single battle. Players would end up looking like this.
Well there is a reason that Re class are only in 5-5. That players don't bother with that level either means that not all players are so fanatically invested in the game or they are willing to ditch their pride ("My honor, my pride, my life!") to avoid the frustration of res.
