Yeah, I just can't think of a good one for the last panel right now. I'll come back later, but feel free to change.

The last panel reminds me of Predator.

If these two are so close to being the same, just how close is Littorio to Kongo?

Littorio has a shy/timid ''destroyer'' voice and comes across pretty timid because of that. She's certainly not a hyperactive ball of burning love.

Nope, Littorio is Mami. The official artist even has a huge collection of Mami fanart, so there's no way it's an accident.

Isn't Italia the second ship of the class? Wouldn't that mean she's not like Hiei?

Italia is the rename of Littorio, which was the lead ship. Vittorio Veneto and Impero were the second and third ships of her class, and aren't (yet) in the game. (Vittorio Veneto would then "be the Hiei", and considering how common the "Second sister that adores the first sister" trope seems to be getting...)

For some reason, Japanese sources insistently calls them the Vittorio Veneto class, and reports Vittorio Veneto as the lead ship instead of Littorio. They do acknowledge "Littorio-class" as an alternative (and secondary) name though. Contrast this with most Western sources (including Italian), which call them the Littorio-class, with Littorio being listed as the lead ship. (and, ironically, Vittorio Veneto class is listed as a secondary name under most Western sources.)

I suppose this may be because V.V. was launched and commissioned first, but really, if they're going to stick with these standards, they might as well call the Tenryuu-class the Tatsuta-class, and the Mutsuki-class the Satsuki-class.

Really, geez, just go with the order the ships were ordered/designed in.

Well, probably there is mistranslation and no Japanese source to correct them. Interestingly, in the Chinese wikipedia, they also uses Vittorio Veneto class.

On a side note, Tenryuu-class in WoWS for a time was called Tatsuta until they changed it.

Edit: After further reading, apparently because both Littorio and Vittorio Veneto are laid down on the same day, they couldn't decided who will be the name ship, even some English sources call them Vittorio Veneto class.

It's no mistranslation, even Italian sources called them Vittorio Veneto class back in the days, it's more like a legacy probably.
