I can't help but notice that each new destroyer seems to face a challenge that's "higher level" than the ones that came before. Fubuki only had to take on a lone i-class, Sazanami is surrounded by light cruisers as her intro to shipgirling. (Although I suppose Inazuma's was formidable, she at least had backup and training...)
