If there's one thing that can be observed from the MasoAdmiral, he's a Masochist yeah but he isn't an asshole. He'd go to great lengths to make sure the girls under him are happy and if he gets a bit of pain from it all the better.

I doubt he'd do something as dickish as that.

Nah, he can do something about that, and his ship girls has a lot of loyalty. Also, He had worst situations before, and this doesn't look worst (You should rembember when Katori went on an expedition for 24 hours: post #2014619).

I think he's too much a maso, the brass thought he's being reckless toward their resources when the event ship drops (which are generally the main draw of events) are not that good. Though MasoAdmiral is obviously good and kind toward his girls, the way he's torturing himself by actively sabotaging his own war effort is not admirable as a commander. I have to say I agree with the brass in a way, the cranes' Kai Ni remodel catapult dropping in this event makes the event not like any other events from before, which makes those wasted resources worth it.
