Could be a glowstick, but I'm more thinking along the lines of those circular tubes that are seen in the round kitchen/dining room areas. Can't remember the exact name for them, but we have one in the kitchen that takes a circular tube like Tatsuta's new alternative head gear... Just add a on/off switch and you've got a torch!
