I had some apprehensions about this comic, but I do like how the guy seems to know his stuff and the abyssals are personable. Looking forward to how this develops.

Mainly that the plot would be very stock without much unique characterizations (ie. the abyssals all fawn over the guy simply because they identify him as "the admiral"). Thankfully, each abyssal seems to have their own way of expressing their gratitude and butt heads over closeness with the guy. The idea of a person who didn't make the cut to join the ranks of the human forces and took up command of the enemy has potential, and so far he looks like he's not utterly clueless regarding how to build a fleet, so that's a plus.

In hindsight, Darwin-chan might have made a miscalculation, considering how they turned out.
