Trait connection is stretching it. Touma can nullify things, not obliterate anything with one punch (not to mention being invulnerable).

Trait connection here is probably just that they both solved problems others before them found to be impossible with punches.
Also,unlike an unemployed guy like Saitama,Touma's still just a teenager,there's still time for him to grow stronger.

Pretty obvious the connection is that they are both constantly watching out for special sales because they're always near broke. What with them walking around with grocery bags.

I'm curious what will happen when their fists clash...

They have much in common as they usually save the day and never get the credit for it. On another hand, Touma does get hurt a lot unlike Saitama, but has the advantage of being a chick magnet.

If I could have strength like Saitama then screw chick magnet.

But I have been training for more than 7 years already but no super strength. My hair does turn grey though.

It entirely depends on how Saitama is so strong. Touma's right hand cancels supernatural abilities in specific, not necessarily all superhuman ones. It's implied that Saitama's strength isn't natural (since all he did was a rudimentary training routine), but unless Saitama's strength is explicitly stated to be supernatural in nature, this one's up in the air.

i wonder if touma could cancel saitama supernatural power that's the big question for me, but due to saitama's inhuman strength/speed clearly will be almost impossible for touma to do something
