FYI one reason the imps were so OP was because of a bug where DD can hit them. They already fixed this. Not that its much easier right now.

Didn't meet the PT boats prior to the bug fix, for how annoying they are, managed to murder 80% of them out of all my encounters.

Didn't even debuff E5, the PTs dont spawn all that much and all DD water oni needs is a hypernuclear torpedo cut-in up her ass, courtesy of beaver most of the times

I was just trying this map on Hard this morning

and those PTs almost made me scream because they disabled 3 of my ships, thus disabling me from even scratching the DD Oni

I did have to use the support shelling to make sure less of those annoying glowing red DDs escorts are left before the actual fight begin. Oh, and I debuffed, for extra caution. I wanted a S rank because I thought there was a little too much left. I didn't know it was actually Last Dance until Ayanami nuked Evil!Hagikaze and cleared the boss bar.

Luckily I didn't meet many PT since I cleared this map on hard with Abukuma, Ayanami, Yuudachi, Ooi, Shigure and Yukikaze (all DA) and without any support (I only had to wait an opening torpedo strike that killed 2 DD).
