The length could be correct, in Warships for Export by Peter Brook the overall length is given as 470 feet, i.e. 143.25 metres. That book is based on the Armstrong archives, meaning that at the very least the documentation called for that length. On the other hand Jentschura and Conway's give 473f 7in.
