I came here because I wanted to find out what a cube elephant was. Alas; I still don't know.
One of the mecha for 2016's sentai series, Zyuohger. Each mecha starts off as a cube shape and turns into a very blocky animal before combining. The designs have a very Minecraft vibe. You can see a video on Cube Elephant and Cube Tiger here.
