It's still cheaper than Oculus though.
Besides the camera, the PS Move motion controllers are apparently also mandatory for many of the VR games, so that's another set of things you'll need to own (with a suggested retail price of $50 a pop, although selling for $29 on amazon) to get the full functionality from the device. That'd be another $100 to the price going by retail price.
On the plus side though, preorders will begin March 22nd at 7am PT. That will be exclusively for the PS VR launch bundle though, which is priced at $500 USD ($700 CAD) and includes: The PS VR core bundle, PS Camera, 2x PS Move motion controllers, and PS VR Worlds disc.
