    That was really a thing. May still be, for all I know, but certainly was done during the Cold War. There was also a nuclear-armed rocket in the '60s that was meant to be launched from a submarine torpedo tube, imaginatively named SUBROC. Basically, if it could have a nuclear bomb stuck on it, somebody did, in the '50s or '60s.
