In other news, the Panama Canal's expansion was completed. Now Yamato could go through the Canal. As could the planned USS Montana. Maximum with is now 180 feet, so they expanded the locks by 70 feet. New Panamax is 49 meters wide, 366 meters long, and 15.2 meters draft.
