I'm getting tired of all these complaints about Mercy (especially playing in randoms). Apparently a growing number people just don't want to even play with her anymore. Here's my advice if you spot one in spawn at the start of a match:
If she puts down either the "cute" spray or that other portrait spray (the godly pose with the light rays), then switch to Soldier 76 and spray the jacket spray over hers, so it looks like she's wearing it. I swear that every time I've done that she will stare and swoon all over it and literally fall for me. Be sure to say hello afterwards. You too can start the game walking out of spawn with a Mercy tethered to you, every time, with just a spray!
Perhaps she's simply into older men. I've found that even if you're not a soldier, but merely a gentleman with amazing hair who lifts weights 18 hours a day, wears bulky armor and carries a ridiculously huge hammer or axe, you can get her attention just by looking at her and emoting.
She likes female body builders with big guns too.
Or girls with rocket launchers and jet packs. Try walking right up to her face and use a suave voice line like, "I've got you on my radar." Don't rely on your char speaking for you, though: "Let's keep the skies clear together"---Mercy has heard that line a million times now.
Oddly enough, she seems attracted to morbidly obese guys. If that's you, try waving at her- you might be surprised! Even if she's on the red team you can catch her, though you might have to be bit a more proactive trying to hook up. Just be sure back off on your drinking habit, or she'll likely leave you!
No matter who you are playing-- if you see she died and are still near spawn, try running back to the entrance. Nine times out ten, I guarantee she'll runfly to you!
Don't be a coward. Don't run away from your Mercy.
Most Important: Stop Spamming, "I NEED HEALING"especially if you're behind enemy lines, and things will go better for you!
That's it. If you want your own pocket healer, it's that easy. So stop giving Mercy the cold shoulder. Stop whining and start winning again!
