Artist's commentary
A government is an institution which prevents injustice other than such as it commits itself.
The Englishman Ernest Gellner regarded this as the very best definition of government. This definition was made apparent by the 14th-century Islamic political scientist Ibn Khaldun. Those who wish to know more, read Muqaddimah.
