When you burn calories like a yakitori grill, you need all the fat you can get.

Wow, this brings back unexpected memories. Many years ago, the dining hall at the college I went to did a thing where they would put out sundae toppings next to the soft-serve ice cream machine on Sunday evenings. (Get it? Sunday... yeah.) You know the sort of thing--big can of chocolate sprinkles, bottles of caramel and fudge sauces, jars of cherries. The centerpiece was one of those metal buffet trays full of whipped cream.

Except one day, after I built myself a big ol' hot fudge sundae and took it to a table to eat it, I discovered that it wasn't whipped cream... it was whipped butter.

Which, well, as we see here, could've been worse; could've been mayo. Or sour cream. Still, butter does not really work as an ice cream topping. :)

I assume because they looked the same, and someone was in a hurry. The vat of butter was normally over on another table, with the supply of toast. (I didn't think to check at the time and find out if people were slathering their toast with whipped cream.)
