Good job on finding all the characters, but should they all really be tagged for a picture like this? Shanghai in particular takes up about 15 pixels here.

In Terry Pratchett's Discworld, Discworld is a slightly convex disk that rides on the backs of four huge elephants which are in turn standing on the back of an enormous turtle, named Great A'Tuin, as it slowly swims through space.
A Dyson ring is a much simpler variant on a Dyson sphere. Rather than enclosing your solar system in a solid sphere, you just seed a ring of solar power sats and orbital habitats 1AU out. More complex variants called Dyson swarms comprise of multiple rings. I originally thought it was a reference to Larry Niven's Ringworld but considering that the Yukari heads aren't connected in the distance, a Dyson ring seemed more logical.
Why can I not help but think back to that one youtube video: Cirno and Beer http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jKC87IrbE5k But seriously, this makes me proud to be a fan of Touhou...
Now if I think about it, ZUN and Terry Prachett have a lot of common: Both of them have their hats as signature, both of them create their own worlds, which is full with references to each of their cultures and both of them are rather friendly to their friends. (And in Akyuu´s book, there was a LOT of footnotes)

They certainly should met each other on a beer...
Also, things from the real world or their analogues keep getting created in Discworld, much the same way as people and things come over into Gensokyo from the real world.
