First-class lady Akatsuki-chan, not being able to sleep because she just had to drink her coffee black.

Is that supposed to be a problem?

(I have no problems sleeping after a cuppa. All the caffeine does is help me ignore my sleepiness when I am supposed to be awake. Give me a bed and I will doze off right immediately)

Well, now we know Akatsuki doesn't have ADHD.

It depends a lot on how much caffeine you normally have in your system. The more you take, the more resistant you are to its effects, (but also, the more of an addiction you gain).

Someone who isn't used to caffeine, like, presumably, an Akatsuki who normally only has milk or fruit juice, would have a notable response.

I don't think it makes a difference to caffeine content if coffee is black or has cream and sugar in it...

Considering all the sugar they load up on what passes for coffee today (lots of french words, I have no idea what is what), you probably will be knocked out drinking it as you are eating the cheap but clotting lard filled chicken tacos the senorita down the street makes when the health inspectors aren't looking... But boy is it good.

Someone check her for palpitations. We had a school event where bottled iced coffee was handed out and the students got checked in to the hospital for palpitations and other stuff.

Wow, that is intense. Was it that they drank too much, or just the concentration? I always note that every Krispy Kreme I see almost always has a ambulance on standby or active near it on the weekends because some guy gorges himself and his gluttony earns a trip to the hospital. I can't blame him though. Krispy kreme is about the pinnacle of glazed donuts, but you have to drink milk or tea with it because it is so light in dough.

Krispy Kreme? I'd watch out for the sugar there and one's insulin impact in that stuff.

According to this news article, Akatsuki might need to go to the infirmary for stomach pains, palpitations and vomiting. It's a drink for adults and her pretending to be an adult is going to get her in trouble someday.

Oh the other hand, strong coffee and then sleeping = power sleep.

Er... are you sure it's not just that paramedics like donuts?

Normally I would think that, but I see people on stretchers going into the van more frequently than a box of donuts.

Besides, it's cops who have the donut stereotype. :P
