Astolfo deserves a *5 version for putting up with Gudao's madness.

Lore wise, Rider is probably Astolfo's best class since it's a class famed for their many noble phantasms rather than their direct fighting ability. And Astolfo was known to have acquired or borrowed many noble phantasms while also being known as weak so it's hard to imagine him being a 5 star in another class.

Wives of samurai were trained in the usage of naginata, Lancer Kiyohime is basically a joke about that.

Yeah. She said that it's only natural for a lady to be versed in the use of a naginata or something like that. But my point was that she's a 4 star despite no mentions in Kiyohime's legend involving naginatas while the regular version of her that actually adheres to her legend is a 3 star.

Without an associated legend, a heroic spirit should either not qualify for a class or be extremely gimped down. But again, when has DW ever cared for that? King Arthur was not known to decimate his enemies with a squirt gun either, nor was Kintoki known to own a motorbike.

Gameplay-wise, because nobody want to roll for a limited *3. But when it's *4 or *5 it's a different story.

In terms of star level, money, bro. It's all about the money.

Kiyohime for example is one of FGO's most popular characters so they made her a limited 4 star to get that cash flowing. Same for Mordred, Tamamo, Arturia. Remember, DW is a business first.

As for squirt gun Arturia and Ridertoki, it's called the Rule of Fun and the Rule of Cool. Don't be such a stick in the mud, bro! Have fun a little.

Ridertoki is absolutely justified by his myth. The bike is called Golden Bear for a reason, it has feelings and everything. The main difference is that it's been modernized, since he himself loves modern stuff.

As for the swimsuit servants, those were justified in the event's plot. Start with the regular servants, add a dose of Scathach using runehax to give'em swimsuits and modify their spiritual cores (class has as much to do with the container as it does the spirit, after all), have them pull out new weapons to fit the mood, and presto. It's even pointed out that Kiyohime's not actually particularly skilled with the naginata, but makes up for it with her usual yandere-ness.

Seiba pulls out the water gun from her own stuff (it's the one she had in HA, in fact) and Mordred stole Prydwen from the Camelot armory at some point. Tamamo and Marie just grabbed a parasol and beach ball, respectively, and make up the difference with their own powers, as you can see in their animations. Mary and Anne didn't actually change anything, they just switch positions. Martha simply punches shit. And Scach, of course, can just make new weapons as she feels like.

And, of course, comedy. Half the point is comedy.

Hell, I'm surprised you don't bitch about Santa and MHX. Those were even less explained. (They don't need to be explained, of course, comedy events are comedy events)

And star rarity is not and has never been correlated to their power in lore. Romulus is cream of the crop, but only 3*. Cu is 3*. Fran, Jack and Amakusa are not top-tier servants. Edison and Tesla are treated as rivals equal in power but have a one-star difference. Bride is not somehow more powerful than Nero Classic. And so on. Swimsuits are 4* and 5* because they're meant to be exclusive to the quartz gacha, and no other reason.

Sheesh guys, I'm not actually bitching or complaining. I can see how I sound that way but I really am enjoying things for what they are. It's just that a part of my own personal fun is to overthink and overanalyze things that don't need the effort.

I cant believe, after 3 years, Riyo-sama predicted Astolfo SSR(Not summer). Damn proud.
