It is already bad enough for her to be dead. But for her to not even realize before her death that all Satori wanted from her from the start was just to be with her... That's too sad.

Perhaps she did realize it though but just somehow didn't understand the fact that that was really all she had to do to repay her, from the start.

Where does a cat wandering old hell even get so thoroughly indoctrinated that it comes to believe to that extent that it has to be of practical use in order to repay a perceived debt? Did she have a previous master or something? Beasts don't seem to typically have any concept of such things. This is more like human thinking. Not that I'm an expert on such matters, or anything like that.

I can definitely appreciate that she wants to repay the debt so much, and that she loves Satori so much. But I would have loved to see a scene where Rin finally understands that the debt has long since been repaid, and continues to be, without her even doing anything special.

Oh no. Poor Satori. I want to cry now.
