As someone who wears glasses, this comic is far too real. Getting fingerprints on your lenses because you can't find them in your groggy mindset is annoying.

Usually why I wrap mine with a cleaning cloth before I nod off.

Still, gotta wonder if their glasses are adjusted for their strength, like say Musashi's has been reinforced with whatever their riggings are made of.

Musashi's, at least the merchandise version, has line sight grafted onto the lens.

As for strength... lets look back at post #1905948

That's why I drag my fingers along the surface until I hit the glasses. Avoids accidental smudges.

I am forever grateful I can still see fine even without my glasses and skip this morning ritual altogether.

I still inevitably get fingerprints on it one way or another, though.

You mean your sweaty T-shirt? Though seriously maybe it's just me, but stuff like this never bothers me. Although it seems to drive my mother crazy when she sees them, she's nearly yanked them off my face to clean them herself a few times. Though if something like this annoys you I advise against ever loading boxes; nothing like a combination of cardboard particles, dust, and sweat to grunge up glasses. You end up with a pattern that looks like those streaky despots that build up in a shower.

Although that might be secondary to the fact that the left arm is being held in place with a glob of sticky tac because a box slipped back and smashed me in the face and bent the frame and I'm too cheap to replace them since the lenses are still goods.

... Or throwing meat/fish into salt brine. After several hours, I would get several spots with dried out brine, which means crystalised salt on your glasses. That's why I keep two pairs of glasses - glasses meant for work are scratched as fuck.

I don't need glasses (yet) even when I've stood mostly in front of monitors for years when I am not sleeping. I kind of understand your problems, but I can't sympathize with them as I don't feel it. :P

Even as a glasses wearer (practically since birth) I never had this problem. I always grab them by the rims or stick it face down laying on fabric so I grab the arms and never get close to the lens. I guess the only thing is the crud in your eyes when you wake up slowly flakes onto the lens over the first few hours of the day. But that isn't too bad. Try wearing a gas mask/full face respirator over 24 hours. Get an itch on your face or sneeze? RIP scrublord. :(

Nonco has a good sense of expression. The second panel is adorably sleepy, and the last one depicts the sense of morning stupor very well.

I never leave my glasses by my bed; instead, I leave them by my computer, the first place I tend to go once I'm up.
Unfortunately, the only reason I can do this is because I'm not completely blind without them, just blind enough that I can't read things on the other side of the room without them and I get a headache if I go without them for too long. People who are really blind kinda need to have them by their bed so that they can see where they're going...
