    The part where he claims that conventional weapons were unable to lock on is rather interesting since a while back, I was reading a fanfic where the Abyssals' (relatively) small size gave them a massive advantage against conventional forces due to the fact that anti-shipping missiles were just not designed to hit things like that.

    Of course, I later added an addendum about TV-guided missiles being able to reliably hit but the small warhead limited their utility to convoy raiding.
