Personally, the problem I have with the switch is that we already have a system we can play on the go. Several, in fact. They are called Handhelds.
Nintendo's refusal to just make a fucking convectional console with powerful hardware that can play modern titles Xbox or the Playstation can has pretty much boned them, this was really their last chance IMO.
It's the same stuff they put in those canned air dusters you use on electronics, if you've ever misused that before. I accidentally got some on my mouth... somehow, while trying to clean my laptop keyboard.

Actually, I see the Switch is a potential opener for virtual and augmented reality since it can sense shape and distance and bridge the interactions into the games. But that bitter cartridge though.
We have the PSVita and 3DS, I'm content with them...for now. Unless Sony decides to release another handheld which is better than the Vita---and that would be dope. I want to play Ryuu ga Gotoku 1, 2, 3, 4, Of The End, Kenzan, Ishin, 5, 0, Kiwami, and 6 on a portable console.
