Oh, I'm just doing touch-up/clean-up, mostly for aesthetics. I haven't actually changed any of your translation work, save for a couple of note splits (for aesthetics), a bit of punctuation, and one contraction. By all means, please continue. Meanwhile, I'll pick up the peripheral stuff.

Edit: Okay, now I've changed one note. Usage of the ~ as a punctuation mark in English is a pet peeve of mine as a translator. Also revised it a bit for more natural flow.

Not a problem. I think I've managed to tweak that last bit to flow a little better. You can't always preserve the punctuation of the original (including quotation marks), simply because English doesn't have all the same usage rules or might flow better without some of the marks, but I think I was able to keep the flow and while still retaining them this time.

This also gave me a chance to add tags and wikis for the first appearance of Kaiketsu Noutenki on Danbooru, so bonus!

As a French student currently learning japanese it's really a great experience to translate texts like these, especially while being supervised. Thank you for your tolerance ^^

Considering Japanese is your third language, this is particularly impressive. Your translation may have required a bit of tweaking, but your English is essentially flawless. (It's certainly is better than I've seen from a lot of ostensibly native English speakers, and far greater than my grasp of French.)

Aw, she's too cute for real life ... makes me wish there was a photo, but I'm sure that would invoke the last poll option..

Hm, and I keep trying to say I'm thankful for the extra effort, but it keeps coming out as requests for other less/not-translated pools, so I guess I'll stop while I'm behind.

A bad translation is better than no translation since it can provide enough clues for someone with good English skills but no Japanese ability to infer the meaning and clean up the result.

I was under the impression that Danbooru's rule of thumb is a bad translation IS worse than no translation, as it potentially propagates misinformation. Or perhaps I'm getting tangled in semantics. To me, "bad translation" implies "inaccurate/incorrect translation", regardless of how polished the vocabulary and grammar are. If you're just referring to an unpolished but otherwise accurate translation (including a decent grasp of idioms), then yes, I agree.
