I believe it's actually a "sea angel", a kind of free-swimming sea slug (some of which have tentacles of the sort illustrated by Chibi-Rin).

In Animal Crossing, they're called Sea Butterflies. 8D

I don't know, certain bugs (moths, beetles, crane flies, crickets, spiders) are pretty harmless and are singular "guests" to the house should they get in.... on the other hand, other bugs (ants, flies, fruit flies, midges, locusts) are horrifying in that they indicate infestation and all around filth and/or decay. I can't imagine to many oceanic animals inspiring that kind of feeling in me. Then again, it's not like I've ever had lived in an apartment under the sea.
