Vampire Ears: Compared to their weak eye-sight, vampires have an extremely sensitive sense of hearing to the point where they can even hear ultrasonic waves. However, because of their acute hearing, they're unsuited to noisy environments. At night they utilize both their sense of hearing and ultrasonic waves in order to fly around. (Expanded in following section.)

Vampire Ultrasonic Waves: Vampires are capable of producing ultrasonic waves from their mouths. When these waves bounce off of objects they are able to use the wave's reflection and their acute sense of hearing as a form of echolocation. For example, even if their eyes are totally covered, they can accurately detect and avoid obstacles while flying.

Vampire Clothes: Due to the aforementioned flying membrane (which attaches to their lower back) getting in the way, vampires are unable to wear most normal kinds of clothes. They either use clothing they've made themselves or specially ordered garments. The fact that there's an opening on both sides of their clothes is a huge point of embarrassment.

Vampire Eyes: Although it is thought they have good night vision, this is actually unfounded. Regardless of the time of day, a vampire's eye-sight is actually quite poor.

Vampire Virus: This virus transforms a bitten target into a vampire. The virus exists in saliva as well as mucous membranes. This makes not only being bitten, but direct contact with a vampire dangerous. For this reason they have been labeled as a dangerous species (although the actual viral transmission rate is extremely low). Furthermore, while it is said the victim will "become" a vampire, they will not actually sprout wings or fangs. The afflicted individuals only become carriers of the virus themselves. Following this line of logic, it is possible that modern "vampires" are actually just bat-like extra species who were infected by a now extinct race of actual vampires. Although, as of now this idea is just conjecture.

Vampire Wings: Unlike birds' wings, they have a patagium (or flying membrane) that serves as wings. This membrane extends from the index finger and connects to their lower back, giving them a much larger total wing area than the bird-like species. For this reason, while they're more efficient gliders than bird-like species, flying under their own power requires more energy expenditure, making them slightly less effective fliers overall.

Vampire Bones: Vampires' skeletal structure is extremely thin and light. This could also be considered the result of adaptations needed for flying. However, compared to the hollow yet extremely strong bones of a bird-like species vampires' bones are slightly weaker.

Vampire Body: Vampires possess a body structure uniquely suited to flying. Their forearms (like animals in the chiroptera order) are extremely long and winglike. They possess a slim stylish build suited for flying. However this has also been called a result of malnutrition from being only able to take in nutrients through consuming blood.
