Since we have "move favorites" option without bug I think it is good idea to make use of it. Most of the images gets deleted in mod queue after they are flagged so when we have a chance as being mods its better to move the favorites on time before they get lost amongst other images in the queue without this option being used. Also I don't think it's really important what happens to "daily rank" as long as "image sample prject" is still going on. I guess it is better to idea to delete them after one day later after flag but since we have granted with this option I don't it is really important if you use it right now or later.

You could simply wait one day^^. Practically, these posts are pretty old and if they get their scores right after being uploaded, then (1000) people who are browsing with order:rank are getting more or less "manipulated" results. This feature is there to find popular new posts and not popular posts that have been re-uploaded imo. So for the sake of competition, I'd say it's better to wait one day^^.
Well I less care the competition or which uploader gets the best images in the daily ranking. The point of this site is not competition amongst user and see who gets to upload the good image first but rather to index all of the good images under the database of this site. So as I said as long as the image sample project is still going on I will continue to delete sample images if I see them in the flag queue from now on because most of these images deleted automatically and people who favorited these images in the past might not find these images in their favorites anymore if these images gets deleted without so-called "move favs" feature being used on them. Since there is no rule saying that we have to wait one day I will continue to remove these images on time. It doesn't hurt the daily rankings a bit as long as these sample images totally removed on the surface of this site in my humble opinion since as I said that the first priority should be to keep track of the images we have shared on the site.
edit: If people really dont like the idea then all mods should work together and get rid of the sample images at once especially the ones who have right to delete images. Its pain in the ass to deal with these sample images one by one after all. That's my suggestion and that will also take care of the "image sample project" we have in our hands. So if some of mods joins forces with me we can take care of it within 1 or 2 day especially the artstation samples.
