The only thing EVA 01 needs to own each and every Gundam there is, is a jetpack and a beam gun... Poor Gundam pilot, especially if 01 is in Berserk Mode.
SRW shows such a match up would be in EVA's favor short of say having the strongest weapon upgraded to max, the pilot is at a high level, and knows hot blood or soul. And this is just to damage the eva at least (AT fields block 4000 damage in srw's)
As opposed to the EVA, which is protected from all damage unless it's inflicted by mentally unstable children. Plot armor so strong it is explicitly mentioned in the series and seen as a force field in combat.
The king of plot armor, Ender Wiggin, is secretly commanding the Gundam fleet in orbit. The EVA is fucked.

You do realize that all the EVAs have is their AT fields and those aren't anywhere near as good as the fanboys make them out to be.

Have you ever noticed how easily the EVAs ripped the AT fields apart with their hands? I don't ever remember it ever being mentioned that an AT field was needed to cancule out an AT field like so many fans like to think.
You guys making such a big deal, Gundam are obviously superior to Eva's all he needs to do is dodge him for like 3 mins after cutting his power supply cable

Have you not seen the movie or the first episode? I'm pretty sure it was Ritsuko (or maybe it was Maya) explaining how EVA 01 penetrated through the Angel's AT field
Just to necro this conversation, a Gundam is half the size of an Eva. Combine its squirrely small size with its thruster-pack and 100mm machine gun, or better its beam rifle or beam saber, and it can close the distance before an Eva can generate its AT field and inflict massive amounts of damage, especially to the braincase. Better yet, use the beam saber to slice through the Entry Plug vertebra.
Hey, guys? Remember that Beam Rifle that the EVA used to kill Ramiel? The one that drained an entire city? Just under half the power rating on the average OYW Beam Rifle. Just saying...
and remember Zeruel? Has about as much fire power as Ramiel's positron blast attack, if not more, and EVA 01 blocks it at point blank range without even budging an inch.
