@D1ce we no longer flag for "samples." You can use the Replace Image tool on the left now.
@chinatsu I'm sorry if this is a stupid question, but where can I find this "Replace Image" tool? I don't see anything listed under "Options" or "Options->Edit" or "Options->Find similar".

I assumed that you had the ability but in may be restricted to approvers, it would be nice if there were a special replacement-only permission. The tool is on the left side in the Options section.
check out topic #13646 for info on the tool. There may be a tag for requesting replacements. Also I suspect people will be gardening this pretty hard so you may not need to do anything.
Also not related to replacements... could you please replace the image URL after upload for tumblr to the actual tumblr post?
At one time, I did, only to have them reverted to direct image urls in the past. So I stopped.
Going back to replacing images- I spent the time finding, uploading, and tagging all these, and I want to preserve that instead of passing off all credit onto an approver. Can I manually go through the upload/flag process as before, or not?

I know I'm not the uploader, I believe it is approvers only. I had no idea that kind of thing even existed.

You cannot. An approver replacing the image is just that. Your name will be on there, just leave the matter to be handled in the next few days by approver's stripts.
