［1999.6.3　試作作業拡張車と伊藤氏と松田氏]
試作車が完成した新型作業拡張車の動作試験の目的で佐竹山を登頂後、山頂の神社にて記念撮影。

この作業拡張車は前形式からさらなる直感的な操縦性を求めて大部分がデジタル化された。
ヒューマンインターフェースも一新され、前形式のように操縦者は立ちん坊ではなく、エアロバイクに跨るような形で動かすのだ。
さらにこの試作車では操縦席から外部の視界確保に多面LCDを使用しているが、量産車ではVRゴーグルが採用されるそうだ。

しかしこの車種の定めと言えようか、十分な装甲防御能力は有しているものの「前線で戦うことも出来なくはない作業用車両」の域から未だに脱出できないのである。

"3rd of June, 1999 - Prototype Work Enhancement Vehicle, Itou-shi and Matsuda-shi"
Commemorative photo taken at the shrine on the summit of Mt. Satake, after climbing the mountain as a motion test for the completed new model of experimental work enhancement vehicle.

Compared to the earlier models, the controls for this work enhancement vehicle has been in large part digitized in order to make handling more intuitive.
The human interface has been completely remodeled, and unlike the earlier models which required the user to be standing, piloting is now performed in an exercise bike-like stance.
Furthermore, in order to expand the field of view of the outside from the cockpit, this prototype is equipped with many LCD panels, but the production model is planned to be fitted with VR goggles.

As for the ultimate fate of this vehicle, despite its plentiful capacity for armored protection, it still cannot escape being classified as a "work vehicle, not suited for front line combat."
