    Did you know: The Sherman A2 was the first tank with factory air conditioning! Those giant stacks were a common feature of automobile air conditioning systems in the 1940s.

    Note: Nothing in the previous statement is true. The front one is an air intake and the back one is an exhaust vent. They're raised like that because it's a beach tank, it's meant to wade through water that comes up as far as the top of the tank. Not to be confused with the Duplex Drive or "swimming" tanks, which--astonishingly--could actually float and had propellers.
