Alternately, she could put on whatever's at hand, bust out her rigging, blast through the door and murder the Admiral, then take whatever scraps are left of her clothes home. At this point I'm about 137% sure it'd count as justifiable homicide.

The only thing left is the bikini. Either way, he wins.

Blast a hole in the door with the over-the-shoulder-mounted guns and then spray wildly through the hole she blasts. So long as the whole door doesn't fall off its hinges before he's unconscious, dead, or ludicrous gibs, she wins.

Also, that she has NOTHING left is absolute bullshit/author ex machina. She still had her underwear and pantyhose on when he was caught peeking, but somehow got even less dressed and he collected them all while he was there in spite of definitely not stripping for him.

I think that you are thinking far, far too deep into this. I don't think he [the author] even thought about that.

During the "Balance" series, the people asking why she didn't just take the second one off were vindicated, so it's not like thinking things through is off-limits, here...

Oh, and by the way, in the Pixiv comments section, there's a giant list of "I want to sniff, too!" (Plus "I want to sniff the bikini.")

That kind of comments disgust me, it's the kind of comments you should always keep for yourself and never say aloud (or write in public places). Yet, somehow that people look more sane to what you're doing.

"Bullshit/author ex machina" is ALL. It's what makes this comic and every comic ever made ever going on. It's what makes a character fly or one punch defeat another suddenly if the author feels like it. "Bullshit" is trying to turn a slapstick comedy into a dark/guro one when you don't write it, your don't draw it, you can't even talk to the author because your Japanese and understanding of how things work plain sucks.

It's the real life equivalent of an aspie shouting to the TV. It's annoying as hell and yet nothing will change. If you want to do something at least productive go write your own fanfic.

Sorry, I didn't mean to be censuring [I'm not sure if this is the word? Criticize?] or anything. But I think that thinking that far might be taking out your enjoyment of this comic, is all. You might have more fun if your brain shuts off.

Those comments tend to be more or less kidding, so I don't usually mind them.

I don't think that NWSiaCB said that going for something dark/guro, but more of a "why don't you do this and just solve it all?!" sort of thing. I can't say for him, but it would be normal for a clever character to get him back shooting through the door, hitting the admiral and the admiral come out of it knocked out [but physically intact] like in most comedy mangas where people shoot each other and don't die right?

It would be the admiral being "I'm clever" but Murakumo being "I'm a lot more clever than you think you are" sort of comedy.
[Though I understand this Murakumo isn't particularly good on the head.]

Again, I can't speak for him, but I don't think NWSiaCB thought about it going as dark as you thought he was.

I am sorry if my comment from before sparked this discussion, I didn't mean to.

There's one problem with the solution that NWSiaCB proposed, however. This Murakumo is, aside of being a tsundere, clumsy as Hell. She's prone to completely failing at actions she shouldn't really be failing at at all. In other words, her attempting to be clever is likely to be completely ineffective or backfire spectacularly, as per established narrative.

The same established narrative means ANY action Murakumo will take will result in her sexual humiliation. On the other hand, whether or how much Admiral receives karmic backlash for his actions is up for grabs. This would be the course of action that pushes things most strongly towards the likelihood of Admiral getting his comeuppance, compared to simply meekly going along with dressing up however he wants.

If your argument is that ALL writing is bullshit, so why would writing my own fanfic change anything?

There's clearly a difference between good writing that can maintain Willing Suspension of Disbelief, and those that shatter it, as well as many other metrics of good or bad writing. And considering some of these Pixiv artists will actually listen and respond to comments, it's hardly pointless, either.

Besides, if people didn't enjoy guessing plot points or pointing out flaws, MST3K wouldn't be the cult classic it is.

Beyond that, I'm not advocating guro. Explosions in this series result in clothing damage, "@_@" eyes, and maybe a welt on the head. All I want is for the "comedy" to be funny again like when Kiso was the main character, instead of abusive and borderline rape jokes.

Eh, I argue that's not the biggest reason MST3K became a cult classic. It was how they did it. Anyone can guess plot point or nitpick on stuff, most will end up looking like an annoying asshole that couldn't shut up , but MST3K made it fun and enjoyable. That's the biggest reason MST3K is what it is.

Arguments about correct resolution on Murakumo's part (which I have only skimmed, because ye gods) aside, I do feel like the admiral's crossed some kind of line here. He's been borderline this whole time, but now he's just being a sex criminal.

Ah, well. On to a different series.
