I'm pretty sure this is a play on that episode of Transformers where they go back to King Arthur's' days or whatever.
EDIT: It was called "A Decepticon Raider in King Arthur's Court"

I can't believe this is the first time I'm learning that Transformers have had at least 1 other instance of Arthurian lore in their own lore beyond the TLK film
