Ah, so it would seem. I actually haven't played the game so I didn't recognize the sprite. I thought the commentary was just broken English and this was official art commissioned from this artist, but now it makes more sense. Sorry, my mistake. The background is pretty obvious in hindsight, guess I wasn't paying enough attention.
