Incidentally, I have no idea if the stuff Ta is saying is meant to be something other than gibberish. I get sort of a sense it might be something meaningful, since you don't see "ヴ" ("vu", but it's really just "u" with an accent mark because there is no "v" in Japanese) too often when there's sound effects.

The only abyssal, yes, but one that doesn't show up in a regular map until 4-1, facing off against a group of 5.5 destroyers who have never previously faced anything tougher than a torpedo cruiser (which appears in world 1-3), who we have no evidence of them receiving even their first remodels yet, in day battle.

Well... that's what I would do if I were in charge of 4 Fubukis, a Mutsuki, and a Shimakaze and I were attacked by a lone Fast Battleship.

Things like that usually don't end well for the Battleship in question.
