Whoops, you're right. I mentally filled in the wrong time unit based on the context of the strip, rather than reading carefully. (Thank goodness it wasn't 20時間, 20 hours...)
To think I thought this might be something that only happens in the USA or at least not in more 'culturally reserved' places like Japan. In fact being an avid nature-lover and hiker I once encountered a situation JUST like this, but during the daytime. It would have spurred me to make a self-insert comic, but I'm no artist.
